What motivates you to work out?!

Question: I've been going to the gym lately only to be leaving after 15 minutes because I just don't have any motivation anymore. This guy I used to work out with hurt me really bad and every time I go work out he's constantly on my mind and I don't feel like doing anything but I really need to lose 30 pounds to get into the army. Any advice?

What motivates me to workout is the physical pump, the endorphines being released and the mental high u get and most importanly the physical results u see.

Honey, your problem is mostly in your head! u only need 40 mins of working out with weights to see results, this wil tone your muscles speed up metabolism, then u need 3 - 4 times a week of cardio 30 - 35 mins to lose the 30lbs, make sure u do the weights too.. they help alot.. goodluck. so in 8 - 12 weeks u are going to be seeing results.. good for u!

My motivating factor is staying in shape and being healthy. Listening to music really helps keep your drive going, especially latin music or the ROcky theme song!

but a pair of jeans or a cute dress or anything that is however many sizes to small for you.

hang them on a hanger in your kitchen(near all the food)

or in your bedroom(it would be t hat last thing you see when you fall asleep and the first thing you see when you wake up)

and that will modivate you to lose the weight.
remember.
the healthy amount of weight to lose per week is 1.5 to 2 pounds.

also listening to a happy song or a fast tempo on an ipod/mpc/ect.. helps you work out and get your mind off things.

hope i helped!

music and anger. or both! channel your anger when you're working out. i often say f**k this. I'm doing this for me, nobody else. I am f**king strong...also eat healthier. whenever you want to eat out of boredom or in general, ask yourself if it's doing your body more good than harm, or more harm than good.

Ever tried dance workout DVD's at home? They're less monotonous than running on a treadmill or elliptical, and they can actually be pretty fun. If you get about 6 or 7, the variety will keep you from getting bored with the same routine. I'd recommend checking out the Masala Bhangra series (based on Indian dance), Altheatized, and Paula Abdul's videos.
