Aerobic vs anaerobic exercise?!
Question: What's the difference in these two concerning:
-calories burned (is one more or less than the other)?
-strength, cardio, balance, flexibility, core, etc.?
-what types of exercises are involved?
-what's the definition of these two?
-anything else you can add...please tell me what you can!
when you answer INDICATE IF IT'S AEROBIC OR ANA...., thanks

Aerobic respiration requires oxygen in order to generate energy ATP. Where, anaerobic respiration (anaerobiosis) refers to the oxidation of molecules in the absence of oxygen to produce energy. Simply saying when you are using aerobic metabolism your cells are burning stored ATP and simple carbs it has stored. When you move into anaerobic metabolism your body dips into fat reserves(as well as a few other sources) to provide energy to the metabolizing muscles. One simple way to tell if you are in the aerobic or anaerobic stage, if you can sing a song while doing the exercise you are in aerobic metabolism. I can answer several of your questions in one. Cardiovascular exercise is usually the easiest to move into anaerobic, therefor the "easiest" to lose excess fat. Feel free to email me with any further questions. I enjoy answering questions in my field of research.

In response to the other answer: Anaerobic metabolism IS good for you, it is the one of the few ways your body can burn fat.
anaerobic-power and muscle mass (not good as good for you) you use air without putting it back into your body fast enough
aerobic- heart heath take heathly amounts of oxygen in and out
