Hi mate. I don't think stopping eating is a good idea. But there is still a simple way to lose weight:

Record what you have been eating!

Well, this method works very well to me.

you have to decided that you are ready to make a change first, then you have to stop drinking sodas. But you can not do it all at once you will have major headaches, start by adding water instead of soda. then cut it down to one soda a day. then a week and then a month and soon you will be done with them. Once that is done in the mean time dont snack hile working, its hard I know. then choose healtier foods from where you work or bring something to eat from home that is better.good luck.

Stop soft drinks immediately, only take plentiful of clean water to begin with, well begun is half done

Eating will not make you gain lot of weight. In order to loss weight, you will need to find the root cause on your weight gain. Once you find out the root cause, you will be able to come out a weight loss plan that able to help to reduce your weight.

Only with a realistic weight loss plan, you will be able to achieve it easily. One things you have to bear in mind, never think of skip meal as it will only make your gain weight later...

Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.
