Am I stuck?!

Question: I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, and have been eating very healthy for the past 6 months. I have lost only about 15 pounds, and it seems like no more will shed off. Someone at the gym told me to increase my weights and my time of cardio training, so I did. But its still not coming off anymore. I'm getting a little discouraged and want to quit. What should I do? What's a quick way to loose a few pounds so that when I step on the scale every week I don't get mad?

Answers above are all good, just remember to be careful not to over train. If you over train, your body will keep stock of fat to protect itself from the increasing stress.

In the past 6 months have you taken a week off? your body needs to recover, so it can continue to adapt to the stress of exercise.

Last but not least genetics are a major key to your body.

Don't get discourage you are in better shape than 75% of your peers.

Well, you have lost 15 pounds. It is a lot. I have never lost 5 pounds in my whole life. You should be happy with your accomplishment. You go to gym (exercise) to be healthy--not to lose all your weight.

Good luck :)

Sounds like you're building muscle. It weighs more than fat, so increasing your weights at the gym will add more muscle thus more weight to your body. If you're eating healthy and working out, then I wouldn't worry what the scales say.

Calories in must be lower than calories out. If you are maintaining your current weight, then you are eating more calories than you burn. So, reduce your calorie intake by 100-200 per day, and do cardio 5-6 days per week for an hour a day. Work up a sweat when you work out, too.

u hav lost a lot of weight . . po b happy with that

Often times we reach a plateau. Keep up your routine, increase your workout if you want. Has your diet changed at all? Even a slight change might effect things. If that doesnt work, try more physical activity of a different sort, lol.

I'm trying to lose weight too and i cant lose more than 1 1/2 a pound
