What is a good brand of treadmill without spending a fortune....around $300.00?!

Best place to get a good deal is to go to Sports Chalet or Big 5, any sporting goods stores. They're always having sales and then you can check out the quality by trying each of them while you are there. Look for one that is quiet. Mine was about $300 but its pretty loud...to the point where I don't use it because I don't want to disturb the downstairs neighbors. It's a Westlo (Cadence model). It's on the cheaper side of treadmils though. After having it I learned I actually prefer an elliptical much more so try those out also to see which you like best.

i have a proform treadmill.its decent but it was like 600 dollars, with the warranty and delivery and set up that is..its pretty good, but if u want a super good one, then its gonna cost u..u get wat u pay for.../
Well, whatever you get, make sure it is an electronic one and not a manual one. An electronic one will force you to keep going. With a manual one, when you stop walking, it immediately stops moving.
Buy a nice pair of comfortable, cushioned and soft running shoes and soft thick cotton socks, and preferably run on ground, park, track etc. It will be less injurious to your joints in the long run and will save you money as well
