Is it okay to use one dumbbell with freeweights?!

Question: I made a mistake when buying dumbbells, I did not buy sets of each weight. Instead I bought one of each weight.

Is it O.K. for me to still exercise with just one dumbbell?
Like Chest Presses for example, using one dumbbell at a time, instead of two dumbbells (one for each hand).

I know it makes me unbalance, but I can hold on to something.

Anyways, by Christmas I will be buying sets, but until then, I want to know.

This is a great opportunity for you to train single side strength and balance.

Yes, it's fine. Just make sure that you do even reps on each side.
