Does it matter if you do 2 half hour sessions of excersize instead of 1 one hour!

Question: Two half hour sessions may actually be better, as they rev up your metabolism twice.

Answers: Two half hour sessions may actually be better, as they rev up your metabolism twice.

no it does not matter. What matters is the intensity of the workout. Were you working out at a heart rate where you were burning fat?

No, I'm pretty sure that's fine.

actually i just read something similar on readers digest. There is a research that proved walking ten minutes before each meal increases ones metabolism to the double.

so i guess its the same thing when working out twice 20 minutes.. it will make your body active all day long.

If you do each 30 minute a power half .. by the end of the two 30's it will be as if you did an hour of aerobics.

Depends on the intensity...if you do it to much though you can over work you body and do more harm than good.

well, if you dont count warming up and getting your heart rate up as part of that 30 mins. then no. If one session then you have increased heart rate for almost the entire time, nut if you start all over for second 30 min session, you start with low heart rate again and don't acheive full benefits of cardio or fat burning for the entire 30 minutes.

I recently visited the Olympic Training Center where athletes work-out for many hours each day. They find they are able to do more by taking a nap mid-day, and resuming the 2nd half of their practice.

Some rest and recoup does the body good.
