Lose 15 pounds in 3 months?!

Question: Is that a healthy goal? I figure I'll try and cut my caloretic intake about 500 calories, to a 1500 calories a-day, and then I am gonna started walking a mile, twice a day, I don't run, honestly, I just can't, I am much more of a sprinter, running was never my thing...and start doing stretches and pilates, and stuff, but is that enough? I want to join a gym, but I can't drive, so that would require getting my brother to join too...and it's expensive for a girl saving for college...so do you think it's a good plan? What is the best kind of food to cut out. What are some foods that are really high in calories, and not that great, that I could cut, and maybe replace with a better thing? Thanks guys.! Oh before you ask, I weigh 198 pounds, definetly not healthy, so losing 15 is not gonna put me underweight, it's just a reasonable goal, instead of trying to lose 50 at one time, I thought I'd start small and work my way. Thanks again!

That is a reasonable amount of weight to lose in a 3 month time frame. So, that is 5 lbs per month you must lose, right?

I would cut back on all sweets (candies, honeybuns, cookies, pie, cakes, etc). Put yourself on a "Diabetic" diet. It works every time. Basically, what it entails is you cutting out real sugar from your diet. Stick to sugar free drinks and use Splenda and Equal when necessary. Also, limit salt-use and incorporate fiber into your diet. Drink plenty of water and try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 times a week. I am sure in 3 months, you will have lost a lot more than 15 lbs and it will look terrific on you!

Good Luck!

Good luck!

Here's a great site for charting your caloric intake, and for free! It will also let you calculate how much you are burning with your exercise.

There are other sites that will help you find the calorie content of your food, too.

If you drink soda, cut that. And don't replace it with juice; replace it with water. Try to avoid diet pop, which has a weird way of not helping you lose weight (I don't know why, but it does). If you like bread, check out Sara Lee's 45 calorie a slice whole wheat bread. Eat more vegetables--always more veggies! Make sure you're getting enough protein. The site above will help with that.

15 pounds in 3 months is doable. You really shouldn't lose more than a pound a week, though you might find you lose more at the very beginning.

Good luck and good health!

i personally lost a 125 pounds of ugly fat and all i had to do was get a divorce =)

Try to add some weight training as well. I highly recommend this for people who sit at a desk 90% of the day. A little added muscle burns calories when you are stationary.

Food wise try to stick to fruit, vegies, protein (chicken, turkey, fish) and eggs.

I lost 20lbs in 20 days. Here's a good site I found that really helped. It gave me great workouts and diet tips and showed me what I was doing wrong before...

Good luck to you!

Michael R. do you have no shame. Every time you have posted it has been to tell someone who wants to lose weight in a dangerously short amount of time to use your 20 pounds in 20 days diet or to post your one about how you got great ads from another site that is no doubt paying you.

Just posting the same two links you seem to be payed to spam in response to people who are really concerned about their weight is wrong, and in some of the posts an idea that could cause them to damage their health
