How long should you wait after you eat to work out?!


Question: Just curious, sometimes I eat breakfast before going to the gym, and I was wondering if that is fine to do as long as I don't get cramps.

30 min to an hour. Same thing you were told when you were 5 about swimming and eating lol. It gives your tummy enough time to start digestings, and you won't get cramps. Good luck!

Don't eat more than a glass of juice or a banana before. It's always best to eat after a workout.

If you are about to do light work out, i suggest 2 hour... If its heavy workout, better wait for at least 4 hour or you are going to throw out the things you eat....

don't eat before working out. If eat before you will be burning off the cals you just consumed and the the fat you have stored.

I don't eat before i do cardio which means my last meal was 8 hours ago, assuming I slpet for that long. The stomach will be completely empty, and when to start to burn cals it will be fat and not breakfast. ok.

So only water before and during the gym as a rule.
