Answer if you are obese?!

Question: I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that, but what is keeping you from losing weight if you know that it is life-threatening.

It's not like somebody chooses to be obese. Some people actually have problems that prevent them from losing any weight. I am considered obese, but I wear a size eight in womens which isn't that big and I'm just really really muscular. I play water polo, and because of this the muscle that I keep building up makes me heavier.
There are also some people whose bodies store up calories as much as they can, so even if they eat less than 1000 calories a day they can't loose anything.

It's not that simple. The reasons behind obesity are complex. You live your life a certain way for years...it's not easy to change. It takes a lifestyle change.

Not obese.
My brother is.
He has an eating disorder. It's like he's got some kind of wierd mindset. Doctors are trying to help him lose weight but it's really hard because his body makes him think he's hungry all the time.

And I'm not trying to be rude either so consider this: What part of addiction don't you understand? Food, like cigarettes, like heroin, like sugar, like caffeine hot or cold-are habit forming in the least and addictive at it's worst. And what's in your medicine cabinet? or on your kitchen counter? Not to be rude or anything...

even tho im not obese, as a matter of fact im underweight i have a family member who is obese and it's not a matter of eating less or esercising, many times its a disease that cause their cells to plump up estremely, no matter what they eat

For those of us who are obese and our obesity is not due to a medical condition, the answer is we choose to be that way. We know what it would take to lose weight and we choose not to do. The question you are asking is why? Who knows - each one of us undoubtedly has a different answer. In my case at 6'3" and 620 I choose to remain obese because I love being this way and am happiest when I am obese. I was very fat as I grew up, over 450 by the end of high school. I lost the weight in my 20s and kept it off in my 30s but decided in my early 40s I was much happier being very fat and over 10 years added 400 pounds. That was my choice. Others will have their own reasons.
