Question: Hey I was wondering if you could get a YMCA gym membership card at age 12 or 13?
I am turning 13 in January but I don't want to go there and feel like a loser for not being able to get a membership card.

You may be able to get a family membership, and then you would be helping them stay healthy too, but if you want to use the equipment, you may need to be 16 or even 18 to use weights and machines like ellipticals. Try calling them to find out.
Im quite sure you can at 13.
But if you dont know for sure what your local one charges, just call ahead of time and ask.
just yourself? why not get your family involved? that way, you might actually be able to get a discount based on your familys insurance, you'll have to see. but im positive you can anyhow.
At 12 or 13 you're a minor, so you'll probably need a parent's consent & signature, since you legally cannot enter into any contracts like a membership
