Am i fatt seriously?!


Question: i am 5 foot and wiegh 122 pounds and im a girl (12 years of age)

if soo how can i lose wieght

p.s- i dont eat alot of junk food and i never drink soda
i drink alot of propel and ice tea and water

i dont excersise much because its winter just when i have gym every 2 or 3 days for 20 min

i want to lose like 10 pounds

i dont want to do any crazy diets so if ur gunna suggest one doont answer this question

and last thing is this y i dont have a bf cuz im fat

Man you're 12. Even the people who do have boyfriends/girlfriends at 12 don't have serious relationships so don't worry about it. Hell, I'm 23 and have never had a serious relationship and I'm not fat. Relationships are more about personality than weight I believe.

If you really want to lose ten pounds just get out some. Go for a walk, play a sport with friends, go swimming and watch how much you're eating. Even too much of a good thing can be bad.

No. You are not fat. I'm really fed up with all these questions about this. Get up to about 140, then you're a bit fat. If you still aren't convinced ask your mom or go see your doctor!

Your not fat maybe a Little chubby try everyday to do 12 crunches to flat en out your stomach ...

fruits and veggies, plain water is better for you, and exercise...walk or run every day...get a glider or treadmill for winter...stay active...and get lots of sleep...kids your age need sleep!

i personnaly dont think you're fat.
im 13 and im 5"3 and weigh 98 lbs.

maybe its not that you eat alot,or that you have bad eating habits its just genes.

maybe chubby or fatness just comes in the family.

you should consider runnning daily or crunches thats what i do.but then again ive always been "thin".

if someone won't be ur bf cuz ur fat don't date them their not 4 u,and stop chasing them around if they don't like how you look now and they do like how u look later than something is wrong w/ that person i really think the beauty is in the heart. so go be yourself go have fun and u could always do some exersizes while you watch tv,i do that all the time!

You're not fat. Just continue to eat healthy and enjoy life. You should wait at least 3 more years before worrying about your weight. I'm sure anything you eat for the next 5-8 years will be burned off by your metabolism, so enjoy it!

You are definitely pudgy, on the borderline of fat. If you want to lose weight, be selective of the food groups you eat, and the amount you eat. Just for three days, every time you put something in your mouth, write it down. The food, and the size of the food. Be diligent about this. You will be surprised at how much you are really eating. No rationalizing. Honesty is not the enemy.

That's really good you don't eat a lot of junk food because junk food is SO bad for you

10 pounds is super hard to lose, especially when you are growing at this age... but you can exercise more than just in gym because school is never enough activity, so try Pilates, go for a run with a friend, join the Y and swim laps, etc.

Eat when you are hungry and stop when you aren't, otherwise you could totally screw up your metabolism if you are going to try to starve yourself or something. People this age should be eating 1800 calories a day.

Don't do any special diets. The best think to do is to workout, drink lots of water, lots. Whenever you go to the gym you need to be there for at least one hour, and do not just walk in the treadmill, try to run even if it's slow. A lot of people say they go to the gym, then they get on the treadmill and walk, and honestly that does not help if you are trying to loose weight. Si i will recommend to start running at a low paste and work your way up. Next in order for you body to have energy you need to eat, but you need to eat healthy stuff not fast food. So try to take your time at home and cook yourself even if it takes time away. You are young and your metabolism is at is best so you can easily loose weight if you stick to a program.

I think if you are eating healthy, and trying to avoid sugary things you are fine. And at 12 you really don't need a boyfriend! I'd maybe watch how much iced tea you are drinking, there are sugary kinds that really are not that healthy. Have you thought about joining anything like gymnastics or a sports team? There are still ones that go on during winter, and that would get you to be more active if you are worried about that.

Oh GOD, srsly, stop asking people. I'm sorry, but it makes you seem pathetic & insecure. No matter WHAT your body type is, accept it & work it, & when you start loving yourself, so will other people.

& ps; people call me anorexic, which I am not, & I still don't have a bf, so uh, hon, you don't have a boyfriend because maybe you aren't ready for one. When it's meant for you to get a bf, you will. Love life & yourself, & stop worrying about your lovelife.

You don't have a boyfriend because you are 12 and 12 yr old boys are dumb. Mostly.

You are growing and those 10 lbs you don't like now may be a good 10 lbs in a yr. Don't focus too hard on losing as much as staying healthy and not picking up more.

My 13 yr old daughter friend was always a little heavier than she wanted to be...she moved and I didn't see her for 7 months and when she came back her weight had shifted into more girly positions!

If you are really concerned then have your parents take you to the doc and have him go over your diet and make any suggestions.

Good idea on not taking the crazy diet suggestions...some of those fad diets can actually damage your heart...what good are they if the only place you look good at is your funeral!

You are not fat. Let me tell you something, everyone on this earth is not meant to be skinny. Skinny doesn't mean healthy. I mean if you want to loose weight to keep in shape, cool but don't loose the weight becuase some people call you fat. There's nothing wrong with a lil meat on the bones and if you love yourself and confident in the way you look, others will be too.
