Do you guys think that I HAVE to gain weight...??!


Question: I became anorexic last year..... I went Inpatient this summer and managed to gain about 20 lbs left.
Im well into recovery but they STILL want me to gain more weight!!! Disregarding what my treatment team says.... what do you think??? Im 16, 5'4'' 94 lbs....

I think you have done an EXCELLENT job to gain weight. CONGRATS.
You need to continue to listen to the people that have helped you out.
5'4" 94 lbs is a little light, at age 16, in my opinion.
Sounds like your team is continuing to look out for you.

i think you are fine, im 15 5'3 and about 90 lbs, but i have never been anorexic...

Yes, you stll need to put some more weight on. For 5' = 100 lb. and each additional 1" another 5 lb. You should weigh at the very least 120 lbs. If you have a larger frame add another 10. 94 is still too underweight. You will be that much healthier! You can do it!

Maybe your views on your weight and on food are more emotional, while your treatment team is able to make a decision that is truly best for your health and body. They are only going to suggest what is best for you. Try to have faith in them. Change takes time and one day thinking about food and weight will not be so difficult. For now, allow others to help you.

I think you should listen to your treatment team and not a bunch of random strangers on a a website.
