Just as Security Lady said, you can't spot reduce. It has to be a total body toning plan. Even if you run cross country you may not be getting enough of the right kinds of exercise. Don't neglect resistance training. Working your muscles improves tone and metabolism.

If you still aren't losing weight it may be because of nutrition more than activity. Be sure to eat right and enough, cross country runners need a lot more calories than everyone else even if they are trying to lose weight. If you can afford it, one meeting with a nutritionist can go a long way toward being in great shape.

i was on a healthy diet plan. detox. No fatty/ junk foods.
did lunges, ran, weights, spin class helps A LOT and aerobic.
the results were my thighs weren barely touching. i am happy and toned.

hate to say it but you can't loose with or fat in just one spot. If you don't want to loose weight, meaning that is not your issue and you just want your legs to look better. Try low weight lunges and squats. They will tone up really nicely and the more muscle you have the more fat you burn.

squats and the bike machine!! have u ever seen professional bikers? they have no hips!! ? :-}
