Your blood moves around your body with the muscles squeezing the vessels (exercise). This brings nourishment to the tissues and good oxygen. This is healthy. When you have a nervous fast heart beat from anxiety, your muscles are not moving. Your heart is over working for nothing. Your blood pressure rises. This stresses the system out. The heartbeat beating too fast for no reason will wear it out. Even when you are doing a cardio workout, the healthier you are the harder it is to get your heart to beat faster. Hope this makes sense!

a cardio work out has to raise and then SUSTAIN your elevated heart rate. When you're nervous that quickly goes away. You cant just get your heart rate up for a minute or 2 and call it cardio.

A nervous heartbeat will not be accompanied by the increased intake of oxygen to the lungs,as in a cardio workout.

nervous heartbeat is from glands secreting minor amounts of adrenaline, cardio is from the body using calories and the need for replacing all the oxygen your body is using, so without going into great detail about what happens during exercise, no they arent close
