Tell your friend that you want to stop drinking, and tell him that when you ask him to get it for you, dont get it. Does that make sense? Hope so. Anyways, if everyone refuses to buy it for you, then you cant get it, can you. =]

AA meetings?

dude, it's not that hard, only the weak fail to stop.

i've drank before, i've smoked before, i've done all kinds of drugs before. yet i quit 'cuz it ain't hard. it's all in your head. it's only addictive because you're telling yourself that. seriously just stop.

i would keep a six pack in your house for a week see if you drink it the next week and if you did then ur an addict after that i dont know what to do srry.

find something better to do

cold turkey. i did it when i was 17 too. bad advice right here but quitting one habit for another works. although i quit smoking and drinking the ssame day. look at and read some stories on people with alcoholism and that might help.

resolve whatever is causing you to drink. deal with your problems and learn to solve them some other way. your alcoholism is clearly the root of something bigger.

if u stop drinking, u will lose weight

Great question! First of all should you be drinking at 17, Will this affect your learning and education, think about this for a while in you head this should help. Now think of a alcoholic. Kids love there parent's but what about when one of the parents is a alcoholic. It ruins everything for the other parent the alcoholic the child/children. Now think of a single parent who is a alcoholic. The children have to be taking away from the parent. Now for a teenager some drinkers drink and drive. Some think this will happen out like 1/10000000 chances wrong! Some teenagers like to go to parties?
Aren't i correct heck i am one! But the stuff that goes on at parties can be awfull, sex might come into this. If this happens or the teenage alcoholic gets pregnant needs to spend money on diapers and clothes and everything! The teenager cant no more go out to parties eeither!]

For your situation try going to special classes for people with problems!(L)

But good luck on stopping drinking and getting your life back!

Also go to Youtube and type in Teenage whores.

when your liver stop you will stop drinking for sure

dude, get a habit like play poker or get a girl friend and have tons of sex so you can get your mind out of drinking.

find something else you can buy to drink, and keep your self entertain doing something, so you dont get board and want to drink. also hang out with people that dont drink that helps out a lot. I will pray for you right now. prayer works too.

Your only 17. Party on dont be a quitter.

go to your doctor, and ask if there are any medications that will help you

Honestly, I would see a therapist or psychiatrist. Most of the problems with drinking start with people not knowing themselves or being unhappy or other personal reasons. At 17, you don't even know yourself and you never will if you start on this destructive path. You may not like who you are right now and so you need a little assistance. Good Luck!

go to aa and they can help or rehab.my ex husband died at 45 from drinking and he started drinking young. don't destory your life that way. you have to much to look forward to in the future.

Dont go to a bar.
Dont be around people that drink.
Dont go around it at the stores.
And dont drink at parties or holidays.

every time that u want to drink a beer, drink a water. its much more healthier, and it wont kill you(well actually it can, but u get where im going right?).

6pack a day.. try making it 5/4.. then next week 4/3.. then next next week 3/2.. then next next next week 2/1.. then next next next next week 1/0.. sudden stop of drinking will make you crave for more. do it slowly.

You will be dead by the time you are 50. My father worked construction and drank and then moved onto drugs. Then he came up missing.

Go to AA and also spend some time in a hospital and spend time with liver patients that are dying.

Lastly, find another outlet.

Tell your parents go to rehab and come back clean. thats all i can think of cause my adrinaline of energy or something to keep me occupied is basicallythinking of things i love or i want to do, which aint get drunk...or high...which it was once but yea. i love to draw listen to music etc, do something else that would get your mind off of beer and all that.

My husband is 22 and he is an alocholic. He had to go to rehab and he still goes to classes and meetings. I have went with him a couple of times. They say candy helps. If I were you I would look into the 12 step program and get an AA sponsor to help you. Also, I know it is the last thing you want to do, but you should talk to your parents and tell them that you realize you have a problem and that you want to stop. The will be more sympathetic and not mad. If you are serious about quiting you will have to get help. You cannot do it on your own.

Drinking every day is not a problem if the amount is limited to only 1 or 2 drinks a day. You're young. Maybe even a 6 pack is not too much for your age. I think it is, but everyone's tolerance to alcohol is different. If you can't limit your drinking to 1 or 2 drinks, then you may want to seek help from friends and/or family. Home Depot. You can do it. We can help.

u sound like my friend.... ur not from ontario r u lol?

First, you need to find the underlying reasons you drink. Do you drink because your bored, or because you hurt. If you have had some painful times in your life and drinking makes you "feel" better, you on your way to becoming a full blown alcoholic and should seek the help of professional immediately. You will not get better, and the pain will never go away, You will just keep drinking more as your body become resistant to alcohol.

If you drink because you are bored, I recommend you find something else to do. While alcohol is not additive, the results it produces can be, and you may find yourself having a harder and harder time quitting if you don't take steps now. Boredom is not an excuse to become an alcoholic. Get away from the computer and find some activities to keep you busy. If you are really sharp, you will begin steps now for preparing what role you will play in an adult society.

You could also be just another dumb kid going through a stage, and will grow out of it. In any case, if you would rather drink than be with friends, or it s effecting your relationship with your family or keeping you from having a job, it's time to seek help.

Stopping is Hard if you have an addictive personality. You're young and you realize you have a problem. Get some help. You may not need AA at this point but you do need help. Try talking to your parents about it if you can or another adult that you trust. If my son or daughter had a problem I know I would want them to come to me no matter what the issue is. You've made the first step here now make the next. For your bestfriend I'd look for another.

there is only one thing that can stop you.
