Not really. Excess vitamin C gets excreted. The most the body can use at one time is about 250 mg so any more than that is a waste. For the average couch potato this is more than enough, but for active people, especially elite athletes, taking 250 mg several times a day has been shown to optimize health.
i dont think vitamin c can hurt your body. i believe it will just urinate out what your body cant use. why would you want to load up on it?
No.
Vitamin C is water soluable and you wind up p1$$ing out what you don't need.
not unless you go crazy with it.
Vitamin C is a water-soluble protein, and anything in excess is excreted by the body. An otherwise healthy person would have to consume a very large amount before experiencing any problems. But vitamin C Overdose can cause diarrhea, gas, or stomach upset, cramps, and nausea. Which can be unpleasant, but not fatal.
The only thing I would add (The other posters are correct, Vitamin C is water solubule so doesn't store up in the body) is that if someone has ulcers they should check with the doctor before taking excessive Vitamin C as it is an acid.
