Are granola bars healthy to eat as a part of your breakfast?!

Question: Or should they be limited to snacking food?

Answers: Or should they be limited to snacking food?

That depends. Most store-bought varieties are filled with refined sugar and preservatives. So you're likely better off making your own, whether you have them for breakfast or snacks. At least you'll know what's in them!

Here's a simple recipe to try:

Homemade Granola Bar Recipe

3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 cup raw honey
1/3 cup organic cacao nibs (raw chocolate pieces) or semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Combine the oats, flour, wheat germ, and cinnamon in bowl. Mix well. Add the honey, and stir into the mixture. The consistency should be moist and crumbly. Next, add the raisins and cacao nibs. Coat an 8-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray. Spoon the mixture into the pan, making one large block. Bake at 300
