Okay i hear ciggartters take like 7 minutes off your life?!

Question: well if thats true and you smoke 3 a day.. and have been doing this for 20 years how many days or time off your life has been taken

Answers: well if thats true and you smoke 3 a day.. and have been doing this for 20 years how many days or time off your life has been taken

7 min times 3 per day = 21 min per day

21 min per day times 365 days in a year = 7665 min per year

7665 min per year times 20 years = 153,300 minutes total.

Which is the equivalent of:

2,555 hours
or

106.5 days.

Whew. All that calculating was exhausting. I need a smoke.

who really cares it the last 7min, and those are the worst ones anyway! lol

use a calculator dude

ok thats not true, my grandma has smoke her whole life from like age 13 and she is now like 65-70 and she smokes a ton. so go figure

21,900 minutes

153,300 minutes= 106.4583 days off your life... don't worry, those aren't great days anyways, it's not like they are the "best days of your life"

dude.... smoking is gross.......

who knows, but thats about how much the regular smoker has a day

20*365=7300 DAYS
7300*3=21900 CIGS
21900*7=

153,300 MINUTES OFF YOUR LIFE.

Who cares about the calculation? The fact is that you shorten your life by smoking!

i heard a year.

it's a vague statement. suffice to say it hampers your ability to breathe and someday, your breathing apparatus will stop trying to repair itself.

makes me wonder how many years of my life are gone because of stress . new years motto stressfree and cigarette free for you.

More than you'll ever know! Not to mention how many innocent bystanders whose air you polluted.....
and how you stink up the world!

cigarettes dont take 7 minutes of they life they take more than that cigarettes are drugs their dangous and u can die more than 7 minutes

Well if that really is true...
You lose 21 minutes a day...
20 years is 7300 days...
In all, that's 153,300 minutes...
That's 2,555 hours...

That's a little more than 106 days taken away from your life.
Thank goodness for calculators.

I've herd the SAME thing a well. We don't even know each other and we come from a totally diff place, there can't be some jerk *** lying to us both.
I don't smoke, I ain't starting, 7 minutes for each smoke U have can add up!

I don't know if you should believe the minutes, but smoking has clearly been proved to cause cancer and pollute your lungs. Does it really matter how many minutes or years it takes off your life. My Dad was a Smoker from the age of 12 up to the age of 63 and when he does have his xrays they are surprised that he had smoked. Now you take someone like my cousins Mother who has stage 3 lung cancer and she has smoked from the age of 30 up to the age of 65. Not as long. It varies from person to person. Most people though the outcome is not very good if you smoke a lot.

I think you should be focusing in on how to quit now before it does anymore damage and stop worrying about how much time it has taken off. Besides you can't get back that time, but you can make the most of whatever time you do have left in life. You could get hit by a drink driver and die of that tommorow. Who knows what life brings us. It is silly to think about such things.

its total bull, what if you quit and then turned into some super fit person who could do a marathon u ain't gonna die 7 Min's earlier per ***.

smoking = cancer = death

dont do it

other people forgot the leap years, so here you go

15*365*3+5*366*3=C
26425+5490=C
31915=C
that is 31915 cigarettes total
31915*7=223405 minutes off your life
thats about 155 days

this is not an accurate figure, and if you use this to try to predict anything, well then you have worse problems than lung cancer

If you quit, the negative effects go away fairly quickly

who cares you wanna live till your103 just to get abused when they put you in a nursing home ? not me puff puff pass!!

I'll give my 2 points to see the Dimensional Abalysis.

ciggatsrrrerggerts in the time I've smoked would have taken me way past my life expectancy. 2 packs of Camels for 43 yrs is a lot of time. Too bad I quit, got fat and now feel worse than I should at this age. I wonder how much time comes off you life for being fat. Cigarette might be for 7 mins. but fat is 24/7.

it doesn't really work like that. it's not like ok, each cigarette will take 10 mins away and i have this many cigarettes for this amount of time etc. it depends on so many other things. chance, eating habbits, physical activity, other sicknessess, etc.
