I want to start an at home workout routine instead of joining the gym and wasting money for not going.

Look for aerobic exercises to music that you love! That way you won't get bored. Gotta love the tunes!!
I don't blame you for not wanting to join a gym. Also try to avoid desserts and too much bread, pasta, and pizza.
