It is great to loose weight and be in excellent shape. I will recommend to do the running early in the morning and the boxing in the afternoon. You do nOT want to do one after the other so you can replenish your glycogen levels and have energy for the next session of exercise.

It is good to start shadow boxing for three rounds to warm up. Then start to hit the bags for three rounds each. Most ot the times a gym has three types of bags. One that is light and high, to get u to move around and get speed, And others that are heavy and low to practice your combinations and produce power. Then you can then spar with someone that has your same experience and weight. Always finish by jumping rope to cool down for about 3 rounds.
In boxing your training is guided by a 3 min. round followed by one minute brake and a boxing session will take about 2 and half hours.
Wish you the best. You picked a very hard sport that requires a lot of discipline and time, but It has a reward of self statistician that you can not replace and forget your entire life.

that'd be good, and i'm not sure about the boxing, but this is a training extersize that boxers do to get in shape and help with there boxing. ? Skip rope for three minutes. (A round in boxing is three minutes long.)
? Take a minute off, and do as many crunches as you can.
? Skip rope for another three minutes.
? During the next minute between rounds, do as many push-ups as you can.
? Back to skipping for three minutes
? Do crunches for another minute. Repeat.

Dude boxers have to run, thtas how they can last fighting 12 rounds! When I boxed I ran 7 miles a day! But remember to do sprints because most boxers use short bursts to attack! For boxing, you should warm up by shadow boxing, but the technique is the most important thing. For your power hit the heavy bags for like 6 to 10 rounds and also hit the speed bag for another 6 to 10 rounds. You should jump rope for your balance and do lots of floor work ex. crunches, sit ups, leg raises, push ups and so on..Do minimal weights because when you had to much muscle you loose speed in your punches and like many famouse boxers say "When you have speed everything else follows" !!!!!!!!

Good Luck man boxing is the best thing in this world, If it was'nt for boxing who knows were I would be!

Take care of your family thats a good mentality!!!!!!!
