Am I taking too many vitamins?!


Question: I split my vitamins up 2 parts during the day..

2 part daily multi vitamin (For the basics)
3 part Omega Complex (For my Omega vitamins)
1 part Calcium and Magnesium (For the bones)
1 part E vitamin for skin
1 part B12 (For extra energy)
2 Pills of Chantix (For smoking)

I split them up and take half in the morning and half before I go to bed.... My buddy laughed at how many I was taking... but he doesn't take any.... I've studied the daily amounts and I'm under all of them....

I work out for one hour 6 days a week... Mostly Cardio and some heavy lifting.

look at the RDA's on the packs and work it out.

I would say don't take the ones that are extra, and only take the one's you really need. Besides that, all I can say is consult your doctor if you have one, and if not, hopefully one comes along.

A mulit vitamin is enough for you. Even one of those GNC Multi's is good. If you are young and mommy is still cooking for you it is not that important. But any excess will be pissed out. If you really wann know what you need consult a dietitian. But for working out, just make sure you eat veggies, drink water and get protein, either from meat, whey or soy.

i was told by a docter that you can never take to many becouse your body will get rid of the exses. but i9 figur that your kidneys have to proses the stuf. but it dousent sound like to mutch. watch your urien the darker it is the more your body is geting rid of. wast not want not. i go every other day with a multi.

If you are eating a healthy balanced diet there is no need for ANY vitamin supplements unless you are female where b12 may be needed but your doctor will tell you if you do need it.

Ask any nutritionist. Taking too many vitamins can be bad for you in numerous ways such as fighting cholesterol.

Chantix is not a vitamin, it is a prescription drug.

make sure that your vitamin supplements are not toO much more than your RDA. you should eat more natural foods that contain the vitamins and minerals you are lacking.

i just turned my tv of but i was watching a show about vitamins and those your taking are no good throw them away, get fishoil for the heard and cholesteral and garlic capsules to clean your body out also take a clon cleanser . those are good for you

Why not get one of those pill "dictionary" books, that way you can keep them on refrence?? We're supposed to get our vitamins from food, but one vitamin I know you can overdose on is Vitamin C. My grandfather ate like four boxes of oranges when he came down here to Florida, and we had to send him to the hospital because his body couldn't take the extra vitamin c. He was coughing up blood. Honestly, I think your body can handle it, just make sure you're getting enough food as well, don't just eat vitamins all day, cause then you will get sick!
