Well you are not out of proportion yet but good habits should begin at your age. Try this:

If this is your day to run, go ahead and go for your run. If it is not then go for a brisk walk to up your metabolism and reduce your appetite. About 1/2 hour before the meal start drinking water to fill yourself up a bit. Do a pint not a gallon.

Now it boils down to choices. Make sure if you eat appetizers that they are celery stick and the carrot sticks. Forego the cream cheese puffs. If you have poultry, take the white meat and take off the skin. If it is ham then I do not know what to tell you - I would skip it. Also skip the gravies and sauces. Fill up on the veggies and fruits and salads. When it comes to the desserts, try going for pumpkin pie since that one has the least calories. Frosting on cake has as much or more calories than the cake. Don't eat the frosting.

Lay off the deserts. Eat normally, and do not overdo it. One binge meal won't hurt you too badly.
Be sure to drink plenty of water.

once in awhile doesn,t hurt you, sometimes it can have the opposite effect.just eat normal today, don,t pig out.

hi,
i will not say that to you but i will say stop warring so much it is the holidays and everyone eats to much just continue to do what you are doing even through the holiday season and you will be alright even if you do put on a little weight. you work out so you should be just fine

I Weigh the same amount and im the same hieght!!
So I kno exactly how you feel..
Today eat very little of everything
and when ever you get home work out..
Also here's a little thing i learned..
You can trick your stomic by drinking ALOT of water before you eat and than you wont be as hungry..

Let's take a brief journey. Here's what we'll do:

1. Figure out whether you are overweight, underweight, or completely normal. Just as it is unhealthy to weight too much, it is also unhealthy to weigh too little.

a. "Body mass index" (BMI) is a way to determine a healthy weight. See: www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

Your BMI is 18.1.

b. Figuring what BMI is normal for adolescents is a bit different than for adults. See: www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhanes/growthchart...

You are just below the 25th percentile for BMI. This means that in terms of your weight-for-height, 75% of the population is heavier for their height than YOU are.

c. You are, therefore, certainly NOT overweight. You could weigh 118 pounds and be at the 50th percentile of height-for-weight, for your age.

2. You actually burn MOST of your calories just sitting around. Your body's resting metabolism uses more energy than running on a treadmill for half an hour. Don't try to "burn off" the 3200 calories by running a half-marathon or something.

Half an hour of aerobic-type exercise increases your body's resting metabolism for the next 12-16 hours. Thus, the most important part of your exercise is the first half hour or so, regardless of how many calories you burn during that time.

The most important part of what you've said above is that you maintain an active lifestyle. It is okay that you had a bunch of extra calories on a special day of the year.

Have a guilt-free Christmas! Catholics have enough guilt laid upon them already. Enjoy!
