Trying to join the military?!


Question: I am five foot two and weigh 148 lbs. My waist is a 29.5 and hips are a 43. All the BMI calculaters and waist to hip ratios say i am healthy, but my recruiter says I am too fat to even take the arms test even though I can pass it. My BMI is a 27.1 according to online and hand done calculations and my waist to hip ratio is .67. My recruiter says my BMI is a 38. Is this possible? what can I do because I really want to join the military and this is the only thing stopping me.

The military measures your BMI differently sometimes if he says you are fat then just do your best to loose a little wait. The calculators online are not completley accurate. What you need to do is start running once a day, each couple days increase the distance. Do push ups, pull ups, eat less fatty foods (lower calories. Cut out the soda's, and candy. (if you eat or drink it.) Hope this helps

with that body you can't run two miles in fifteen minutes, and you must be able to do that. Your recruiter is telling you the truth, you need to lose weight and build your endurance.

Your recruiter is a moron to say the least. Your BMI is between a 27-28. For it to be 38 you would have to weigh 200lbs. Tell your recruiter he is wrong because he is.
