Is this good for a 12 year old?!


Question: i am 12 and have been lifting only 5 pound weights so i don't strain my self, 30 reps , each arm for once or twice a day.so is this too much and i will stop growing or to little to make a difference?.i don't wanna get buff, just stronger.

i think its good that you're interested in physical fitness. keep it up. if it hurts, stop, if it doesnt, do as much as you're comfortable with. you may wanna talk to your doc if you have any preexisting conditions like heart problems, or anything like that. keep it up!

More weight, less reps will get you Big and buff

Less weight, more reps will just tone and tighten your body

do more push ups.

thts kwl man, i was 15 b4 i started doing any ordered excercise like that. a good way of exercising proportionally is to do pressups, that way you become stronger, compared 2 how heavy you are.

You're doing exactly what you should be doing. You're just fine and you're slowly building muscle tissue and that's what you want.

no your not over doing it that's just right for your age.

your not going to stunt your growth, but your also not going to increase your strength. your 12 years old so if you are seriously looking to increase your strength your going to stunt your growth. get outside and be a kid, that alone will help enough. or join a fight club
