Any tips on losing 10 lbs (14 yo girl, 5'4, currently @ 136)?!

Question: i experienced a growth spurt about a year or two ago.. i grew a couple of inches, along with losing some weight. it felt great, because along with that, i walked approximately 2 miles a day and ate healthily -- this was in the summertime, where i had time to do so. somehow i lost control of my portions and the weight is creeping up to me once more. i have p.e. @ school 4 times a week, 1/2 an hour a day (except on the 3rd day, where i have it 1 1/2 hours) and i'm trying to do this pilates program i have. any other tips? i'm currently eating salads for lunch (i'm on winter break) and TRYING to cut down on unnecessary snacking & overeating. thanks!

You're 14, so most of the weight will come off as you get older. Don't stress too much, just try to eat healthy smaller portions, 3 square meals a day. don't skip meals or starve yourself, this can lead to weight gain an make you very unhealthy.
Have a big breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner.
Try not to eat junk - fatty foods and lollies and chocolate.
Drink plenty of water instead of softdrinks, and increase your cardio a little. Skipping is a good way to shed some pounds, and you can do it at home. Walking is great if you have time, you should really talk to your parents about your concerns, and see if they will go for a walk with you of a night time or help to set out a healthy eating plan for you.
Good luck, but remember, if you start good eating and excersize habits now, as you grow, the weight will drop off guaranteed. But don't stress too much about it. :)

walking really is one of the best things to do. it has so many benifits, if you can find time to walk 2 miles a day, that is really all you need to do.

my slightly overweight liitle brother did this for a month, and he was way better, with energy and weight, he lost it all over his body

good luck, and be confident!
