How can i get motivated to lose weight?!


Question: like last year i lost 20lbs when i went to visit my family for chrismas in hawaii and then this last summer i dont know why but i got on this thing where people should like me for who i am and i would eat like a normal person whatever i wanted i gained it all back and i am way out of shape im not obese or anything but im not skinny either im a little over weight and curvy. right now i hate myself i love swimming and i feel dishusting in a swim suit. I want this so bad i even have the NV weight loss pill i have no idea though how to STAY motivated when food comes along i just say oh that wont matter and i eat it. I have been going sking 2-3 times a week since i have been on break. Anything suggjestions?!? thanks ;) and i really do believe that it matters what is on the outside that matters

hi there, i am not going to give you some standard procedure answer.. i am not going to say you cannot do this u cannot do that.. because then your going to leave here thinking oh gee thanks now i am really motivated, lol


But instead watch some tv shows where they got girls with good bodies, look at magazines, don't look at stick thin girls. but look more at athletic type girls.. like say Jessica Biel, Madonna, you get my point... once you have a idea of how you want to look it will be so much easier..

Start lifting some weights, only 45 mins it takes per weight session.. this will speed up metabolism and tone your body... do cardio 3 times a week... 30 - 35 mins... if u got out and do sports u can count that as your cardio...

eat more proteins, they help build and tone... take some vitamins....

give yourself on cheat day a week to have some junk if u feel u need it.

the surest thing to do is to say no to food all the time, but if you can't do that it would be a big problem. try drinking lots of fluid before you eat or whenever you feel the urge to eat something try eating fruits instead of anything that is high in fat or carbs. i've read that smelling the food before eating it reduces the appetite, but i think that doesn't work. you can also try eating slowly every meal, it will make you fill full faster.

My mom was watching a program on the brain and how you could retrain it, so to speak. So now I'm trying to put it to work. Every time I see sweets or a lot of food, I take a minute to think if I'm really hungry or not, and in the case that I'm not, I say to myself, "I'm not hungry, this is just my brain not my stomach telling me to get food. I am full and do not need to eat this."

It probably won't work for everybody, but so long as you keep this motivation in mind, and think of how great you'll look when it's time to swim again, you should look great in no time at all!! Good luck!!

i put a picture of myself (skinny and fat) on the fridge and I kept a tiny sweater I loved during the skinny phase on a hook next to my closet.....little reminders of how I want to be placed all around me....best of luck to ya

here's my motivation to loose weight.
i am 29.29 on the BMI index 30 is considered obese.
i have a nearly three year old and would like to see him grow up. i need to exercise daily to increase my heart rate so my heart burns the fat. if i dont i can see like many in my lazy family that they will have health problems. i am disgusted with myself just on the outside. -
its not only about eating its about exercise.
i love to eat as much as the next person- its about carb counting and burning enuff of them as a result of exercising
That I will be alive for my child in the next 10 years is my motivation.
