I'm skinny but I have a fat stomach. Help please?!


Question: Hello all,
I'm a 19 year old female and I've had this problem for years. I know it's not diabetes but I don't know what to do. I am 5'6 and 117 pounds-so a good weight for my height. However, my stomach is HUGE! I look like I'm pregnant. How can I get rid of my huge stomach without losing weight?

Change your diet. . .

Stay away from pastas, sodas, breads, juices.

Start eating salads for meals more often w/ Low Fat or Fat free dressing . . . you need to decrease your fat intake, thats why ur stomach is big cuz all the fat stores there cuz obviously u are not eating healthy and eating junk food and eating foods that are high in fats and calories. . .

also you need to start doing cardio, running at least 3 times a week .. . as well as doing crunches, sit ups.

then u should see results

I have the same problem. My stomach always sticks out after I drink or eat the littlest thing. It's terrible. :(

do you eat a lot of salt and soda? that could be one problem, drink water, that might help.

and stop eating fast food

also, cut out the high salt and sugar in your diet...

maybe u need to take diabetes shots and if that doesn't work i wooud have plastic surgery and remove the extra skin. and i'm 19 to and ive already gone through 5 plastic surgerys. woww.. i kno

stop eating sweets (about 500-1000 servings of sweets) jk 1-5 servings

do u drink alot of soda's? i had that problem and i was literally addicted to coca cola... i started drinking water and juices and my bloated stomach went away... try sit ups occasionally to tighten ur muscles... i am 21 and i still have a bit of a stomach but it is because i had a child. Although my best friend is small and people always ask her if she is pregnant.... she drinks entirely too many soda's...dunno if this is your problem or not but if it isn't then i would consult a doctor

Well, I don't know what you look like, but I think your body image is a bit distorted. However I'm happy to help you firm up that tummy. Alright Core training is the way to tone the abdominal muscles. Crunches are the basis of the exercises. 100 normal, 25 with your feet or shoe soles together, 25 with your legs straight. Add 5 pound weights to the crunches and you will tone even more. Try looking online for core training, or varied crunches. Find some crunch or core videos in either a fitness story or even target. If you have the time a core training class is great help and you will have an expert who will help you complete the exercises and make sure your doing it right. Another little tip, milk bloats up your stomach and makes it soft and gushy, so if your looking to get your tummy really firm stay off the dairy. Good luck.
