I'm also 13 and have just recently lost 30 ibs. I can tell you what I did and that may help you. First don't eat any snacks! Snacks are where you get all of those calories. It's not the meals it's the snacks. Also you don't need to buy anything to do this workout. You do 200-300 sit ups jog in place for 20-30 minutes. Do 300 jumping jacks and at least 100 push ups. Take your time when doing sit ups and push ups because they tend to work better when you take your time. Also I found it easiest to not have any pop or junk food. This means you should not go to any fast food restraunts because their food contains a lot of fat and too many calories. Also go to this link and check out your BMI and find a healthy weight that is good for your height.http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bminojs....
Also on this diet you tend to eat about 1,000 to 1,200 calories every day. It made me lose ten pounds every month so if you were to lose ten pounds every month you could be done in five months.

Instead of eating bacon and burgers, try Veggie Bacon and Veggie Burgers. The bacon doesn't taste like regular bacon, but it does taste very good, not at all like veggies. The burgers are awesome! You can find them in the refridgerated section of Wal-mart near the frozen organge juice, waffles, ect. Morning Star is the best brand for bacon and Boca Burgers are the best for burgers.

No one is laughing.

If you can, have your parent take you to the doctor.

He can test you to see if you might have a problem caused by a thyroid disease or something else.

The doctor can put you on a strict diet plan.

You also NEED to exercise, anyone you know goes to the gym? Go with them, you wont lose weight just by changing your food.

eat healthy and exercise.

if you don't wanna exercise out in public, buy yourself a fitness DVD and exercise in front of the TV.

You'll probably have to eat foods you don't like, but eventually they'll taste better.

Control your eating habits.

WOW. My dad who is 5'8 is all muslcle and weighs 196....Sorry.

Eat apples, fruits, veggies, NO SODA, CANDY, ICE CREAM, and work out regulary. maybe hire a personal trainer.

good luck!

If you lose 50lbs, you can't get back to normal life. Obesity is like other disorders - if you have it, you HAVE to CHANGE your way of life - otherwise you will yo-yo forever.

My advice ... find info online - there's plenty to help you.
Eat sensibly, get a good eating plan that you like and stick to it.

If you can, identify what triggers your overeating. I'm an emotional eater and I know it- so I try to not eat just because I'm upset, angry, miserable etc.

Getting to Know yourself will help you.

All the Best.

exercise when watching TV dance during the commercial brake eat right replace ice cream with frozen yogurt eat fruits and veggies eat turkey and chicken rather than beef and go to a dietitian to talk about other ideas

Try a low glycemic approach to eating, which is easy to follow and designed to help you loose the weight and keep it off....Eat more of the following: fish, chicken, beans (kidney, lima, peas, etc), nuts (pecans, almonds), fruits (bananas, apples, pears, peaches, etc).

Avoid processed sugars, and sugar substitutes (apartame is a big no no), avoid diet sodas and soft drinks high in sugar. Avoid white potatos, things made with white flour (which you're allergic to anyway).

Eat normal portions, be sure to eat at least 3 meals per day.

This book explains the details of a low glycemic index approach to eating: http://www.marketamerica.com/pulse99/ind...

Also you should consider an exercise program to help you change your metabolism to burning more body fat.

If you have any stress, consider a stress relief program also....yoga, meditation.

I've had friends and relatives who have dealt with this issue before. I'll tell you the most important things. You want to lose this weight, and you're willing to try something, that's the first step.

Portions aren't a big deal. In fact, be sure to eat full size, healthy meals. So instead of fried chicken, try grilled chicken. A full healthy meal will make you feel full for longer, and you won't be so tempted to snack in between meals.

You absolutely must exercise. I don't mean you have to run five miles a day, I mean you have to do something with physical activity regularly. Try going on walks. Not really slow shuffling walks though, walking like you're going somewhere, but not needing to run. Bicycling is also good exercise. Personally, I try to make sure I have to go up stairs to live, to work, and to eat. That does a lot of good.

Finally, you need to be sure you're not snacking unhealthily. That's where the weight comes from a lot of the time, and it's easy to change if you're thinking about it. Don't snack if you're not hungry. If you eat full, healthy meals, you probably won't get hungry for at least a few hours, hopefully not until the next meal. If you do need a snack, pick something that's tasty and healthy at the same time. Fresh fruit is a great snack. I like beef jerky myself, and not the moist beef stick type, but the dry chewy jerky. It's low in calories, lets me chew on something tasty for a while, and I really enjoy it. Chewing gum is also a good idea. Even if it has sugar, you have to chew a lot of gum to get too many calories.

The most important part that I've noticed. Less soda. No soda preferrably. You can drink diet sodas, but I prefer to switch entirely to water, tea, and coffee. There's too much sugary stuff in soda, and it doesn't fill you up. I found that when I stopped drinking soda for one summer, I lost twenty pounds from that alone.

You do have to try, and you want to do this, so it can work. Broccoli is great, and it's okay to have some cheese on it, just don't wind up getting more cheese than broccoli. If you can't stand salads unless you drown them in ranch dressing, try something else that you don't need to put ranch on, or try a healthier dressing like raspberry vinagrette.

Really, you can do this, and you don't have to change the world. You just have to think, try to make it a little healthier, and keep up good habits. Don't starve yourself, that won't work.

Finally, remember this. If you start eating a bit healthier, you'll lose some weight early on easily. The first ten pounds can be the easiest. Then it slows down, you might wind up losing only five pounds in a month. Just remember though, that's five pounds closer than you were, and people will notice that. Reward yourself with something nice that isn't food, you'll keep on the right track.

You can do this. You want to do this. Best of luck to you.

you can learn a lot from the below site

I just wanted to add that you need to remember that your body is still growing and developing.

But I definitely agree that a lifestyle change is important, because it's not how much, how little, or what you eat, it's how you take care of yourself.

P.S. Nobody is laughing. Everyone has insecurities and things about themselves they'd like to change. The achievement is made by finding the strength to succeed.
