How to gain muscle mass and weight?!


Question: I'm 16, 120lbs, and all bone. What do you recommend? It's not because I don't eat enough, every time I eat, I try to eat as much as possible, but not so much that I am about to throw up. I also don't just eat junk food. I make sure I eat a good amount of meat and vegetables daily, some yoghurt instead of chips for snacks, and fruits. Green tea instead of pop.

What is your exercise routine like? You should be doing cario and weight workouts increasing your intake of protein foods to build musicle mass ... chicken and fish are good for this as far as meat ... but lots of veggies for sure. Do some research on body building ... not that you want to be muscle bound ... but to build definition and body mass.

AVOID protein shakes, and all of that crap. A moderate, well-balanced diet full of the things that will support your exercise program and you will build mass.

Sounds like your doing a lot of the right things. Protein is one of the best foods for building muscle so eat as much red meat as you can. Also, work out with heavy weights. Cardio isn't important for gaining muscle mass so take time and just lift the weights, no need to run off the calories. Being that muscular might not be in your genes so that might be the reason for the lack of muscle and weight gain. Give it time and continue eating big portions are working out with heavy weights. good luck.
