Yes, the weight lifting will burn lost of calories quickly and will increase your metabolism by adding more muscle mass to your basal metabolic rate (the amount of calories your body burns daily to maintain your current weight). Make sure when you lift weights, you are increasing the weight to an uncomfortable level and safely pushing yourself a little bit. You'll do best with a workout partner.

Your meal plan should consist of very "clean" foods. Try to eat foods as they would be found naturally, or as close to it as you can get. Chicken and Tuna are excellent sources of lean protien. You should be waking up and immediately eating a breakfast (even before you take a shower), then continue to eat something every 2-2.5hrs for the rest of the day for a total of 6 meals per day. Go to a caloric intake calculator to find out how many calories you should be consuming for your basal rate, then deduct 10-20% from that number. Your calories should come in a ratio for each meal as close to the following as you can get (55% complex carbs, 35% lean protein, 15% good fats) make sure to drink 1/2 your body weight in oz of water (if you took your body weight in lbs, not kg). This will allow you to maintain and even add as much muscle mass as you can while losing some fat instead of losing muscle by starving yourself and slowing your metabolism.

The cardio sounds good. Make sure you're sleeping a solid 8hrs.

That's the basics of how the body builders and athletes will do it. After you get the basics down, you can look farther into it and find out little trick and tweaks you can do if you so choose.

Oh and PS. You will need to double check my info on this, but I'm pretty sure that 1g Carbohydrate = 4 calories 1g Protein = 4 calories 1g of Fat = 9 calories

diet and exercise. eat 6 minimeals a day, and make sure ur moving a lot. dont just exercise once a day, take walks and stuff like that. ride ur bike around with ur friends...
