8)form a support group - invite friends, relatives, parents, partners
to participate in a healthy lifestyle, and keep you accountable. This
is important.

9) plan to lose weight slowly (1-2 lbs a week), and progressively
overtime increase your
goals!

Hope it helps!

start off with lighter weights, then slowly-at your own pace) take heavier ones

Well, it depends what you want to achieve at the gym.

Big muscles? Toned body? Lose fat? Gain weight?

Big muscles are formed if you do something like 3 sets of 6-10 reps with your max weight you can lift (meaning the 10th rep must be very hard to complete)

Toned muscles come from high reps (20+), and the burn you feel in your muscles is different from that with higher weight and lower reps.

also you need AT LEAST 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight (175 pounds=175 grams of protein daily).

If you just want to lose fat, just run on the treadmill 45+ mins each time and use light weights and high reps (something like 10-20 pounds for like 20 reps) and restrict yourself too 1250-1800 calories daily. (Obviously you can break that restriction some times as it is hard to maintain it when we live in a world of fast food and junk, just treat yourself once and a while and small portions)

Good luck, and make an appointment with a trainer, as they can help you better than I can.

plan out ur workout on weekly basis...maybe three day rotation, arms and chests one day, legs aand lower body second third day abs etc. Always do cardio. The mucles need about 1 to 2 days to rest and GROW. If you workout everyday same muscle you won't see any results, because no time to grow. Basically start off working out then finish off with some cardio.
Hope it helped...
