One rep. to burn one calorie?!

Question: Are there any exercises where it only takes one repetition to burn one calorie?

Answers: Are there any exercises where it only takes one repetition to burn one calorie?

You could do a combination of two exercises and count it as one rep, and then you might get close to burning one calorie per rep. For example, you could do walking lunges, and along with each lunge, you could do a bicep curl, however, this would be a very advanced movement, because just getting the proper technique on the lunge itself can be difficult. Even then, i don't know if you would burn a whole calorie with only one movement. The heavier the weight, and more dynamic the movement, the more calories you will burn. Plyometrics are good for burning a high amount of calories, compared to the little amount of time spent on them. Another suggestion would be squats with a smith machine, using a heavier weight (something that you feel comfortable with though, and that meets your goals). Legs will burn more calories that upper body, usually, because you can lift more weight with legs than upper body. Think about doing a bicep curl with a 5lb dumbbell, that would be way easier than doing a heavy squat with 50 lbs! My suggestion is cardio for burning immediate calories. Weight lifting is crucial to though, because it gives you a long-lasting calorie burn. diet, weight training, and cardio is all important, and should be combined for maximim results. hope this helps
