Have you tried the old trick of tying a rope to the weight, and using a cut-off broom handle to wind the weight up and down. This will give you excellent upper body strength in a very short time, and it uses all the upper body at once. I'd start with an empty soda bottle though, because at arm's length that will be very heavy by the second or third time you lift it by spinning the round shaft.

I have a friend who has graduated to using 10lb weights in this manor... he has a swimmers build, but he bench presses 285lbs for his normal workout when he can get to the gym. Something to think about.

Lift them up and down.

I personally just do lots of sit ups and push ups and i stay in shape. You can also try holding the dumbells straight out so you body makes a "T", and then twist to your right, then your left, then back right and keep doing that.

Butterflys (arms), dead lifts (butt), lunges (legs) while holding waits.

there are unlimited excercises

do you have a bench, then do some chest presses , shoulder presses, bicep curls ,

push ups

dips with two chairs
