It depends on your weight and diet and all that too, but it sounds like a great start. I know you can calculate what your heart rate should be to get a good work out depending on your age and weight. Some exercise machines have you input your info and they also have heart rate monitors so you can keep your heart rate where you need it.

If your gym has a stair climber, you really should use it for a little while every day. I swear, nothing will make you sweat more! Even if you can only do it for a few minutes at first, keep pushing yourself to do 30 more seconds or one more minute each day. I lost 10 pounds doing 30 minutes on the elliptical, 5 - 10 minutes on the stair climber and a little bit of weights.

Yes, cardio and a proper diet make fat go away.

Mix it up though, do the exercise bikes and stair masters too.

Eat right and you'll lose that weight in almost no time. (like a month)

running works for me
and 2 meals a day
no candy and no donuts

yah do it for a month

It also depends on what you're eating and how often you're doing this, but if you're working out a few times a week and not pigging out, then you'll lose the 10 pounds pretty quick.

Sure, anything that raises your heart rate will help. However, you need to be careful that you're not raising your heart rate TOO high, because then you no longer are burning fat. One of the trainers at your gym can help you determine a target heart rate for maximum fat-burning.

going to the gym will help u and doing walks long walks at the park going on diets dont eat a sweet treat and maybe only one sweet treat a day

ellipticals are good and bad. on the one hand...you'll burn a lot of calories. on the other, it won't maintain, and you just lose weight, you don't really get healthier. normal running is much more athletic and can actually train your body, improve strength and such, while ellipticals really just burn calories. if you really wanna lose weight, run first thing in the morning, before eating, as long as you physically can, like, an hour. then have a good breakfast shake that's got enough carbs to give you energy, but is still low cal, low sugar, and high protein. to be honest, the fastest way to lose weight is by only eating supplements, even though that might not be the healthiest

It will work given time and if you make sure you are eating the correct foods as well.

I find that if i maintain a healthy diet and don't eat too much and do a half hour of walking on my treadmill every day (with one day off per week) and using a slight incline, i can lose an average of a pound a week. It should take you about 3 months to lose the 10 pounds if you are doing the right things.

Hope this helps!! Happy New Year!!

it can help a well balanced diet will help too. and they say to try to loose no more than 2 lbs a week to be healthy which is what it is all about.

since the first 10 pounds a person loses when they diet is water weight, I suggest you slow down on the drinking of liquids. Liquids are heavy. After that you can cut out (for the most part) things like sugar, mayo, soft drinks.

Make sure that you are eating healthy.

Watch those high fat/calorie processed foods, fast foods, junk foods, etc. Go for a variety of colors in your diet, excluding brown.

Sleep regularly.

Those are the big three: sleep right, eat healthy, exercise regularly.

yes that should help.

Yes, Exercise is an excellent start! I have learned the hard way, that in order to lose the weight and KEEP it off, you gotta change your eating habits as well. =)
I belong to a free weight loss website. You can go there to ask these kind of questions, track your calories to make sure you aren't over eating, track your fitness, etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I just lost 10 lbs in 16 days, just by tracking my calories and exercising 3x per week on the treadmill, and/or the elliptical. I am sooo siked!
