Wieght lifting, best ways to bulk up?!


Question: I quit smoking, to help myself put on wieght, not to mention the health pluses....anyway I'm 6'02" and after I quit smoking I went from 150lbs to 170lbs while maintaining a healthy diet. with my hieght, I do believe a solid 200lbs would be Ideal. Not too big an not small. I still have a high metabolism and Turn 28 in february. What do you think would be ideal for my frame an goal?

Ways to get bigger

*Always work the 3 Core lifts ( Squats, Deadlifts, Bench,) These give us the most mass as they all work several muscles at a time.

*Eat protein after every meal. Eat more to. Eggs nuts and fish are ideal

* Everyone does the 3 sets of 10 reps but if you want to BULK UP do it reveresed 8 sets of 3 using 80-90% of your one repition max) This will lose a bit of cut but will GREATLY increase mass. I did this with bicep curls and now have 18 inch arms on a 5'9 frame.

Have a program and rest diffirent bodyparts each day.

Dear Jerry, .. "U"r picture perfect 4 u'r age "i" maintain the same "FRAME" 4 over 40yrs.& i do not wanna go over that; "WHAT"s ... "IMPORTANT" is 2 "MAINTAIN" the muscle "TON" b/c if "U" get 2 big now will transform in "FAT" 10-20yrs.down the road.

Use lighter weight's than what you can lift,about half to 3/4 and bench press,curl,etc. I am sure you know most of the popular method's of lifting.Anyway,do a complete work out,I would say 45 mins. to an hour every second day and really lift(pump) as fast as you can.You will bulk up faster,while maintaining your strenght and once you get to your bulk limit,then change to doing this still 3 times aweek but,add all you can lift training into your routine,about twice aweek.REMEMBER,LIFTING WHEN YOU ARE HURTING OR YOUR MUSCLE'S FEEL EXHAUSTED WILL DO NOTHING FOR YOU OR YOUR GOALS.NO PAIN,NO GAIN IS TOTALLY NOT TRUE.BEST WISHES !!!!
