Am i too skinny?!


Question: Okay, so i am 16 years old and i am 6'3'' and i weigh 128 pounds.

is this normal?!?!


the doctor says ill fill out eventually but i cant accept that as a good answer.

Is there anything i can do to gain muscle?


And YES i do eat a healty amount of food.

That is pretty thin but not fatal. Guys almost always reach their height before they fill out. ( I really hate the word skinny. Don't you?)

Start an exercise routine and concentrate at first on core fitness. This will give you a strong frame on which to build and will save you worlds of hurt to your back, which you will compromise if you were to jump head on into weight lifting. I suggest then to begin a free weight routine gradually increasing the weights as you go, and varying the muscle groups you work to give you a balanced proportion. A general rule with free weights: use lighter weights and challenge the muscle w/increase reps for tone; to build muscle size-challenge the muscle with heavier weights and fewer reps. If you can spare the cash--a good personal trainer is worth it. you'll get advice on all of this with work out and nutrition advice designed just for you. And always get a physical before you start a program.

eat high protein diet, like meat..

eat a hotdog.....or two

Get into a weight training program. They can also help with your diet adjustments.

I'm 5'6 and 142 lbs and i'm on the low scale of average. so you are VERY underweight XD

Your doctor is right. Just wait and in the mean while just keep eating healthy food (no fast food or processed garbage) , and get lots of exercise. Do push-ups, pull ups, lunges, wall sits and lots of running. You will get a strong body, good definition and a healthy heart. This type of exercise will help your testosterone production to kick in faster and help you fill out with muscle, not fat. Good luck!!

Yes ur skinny! I'm 5'9" and weigh about 140 and I'm skinny. Well if you start trying to gain weight you may cause yourself not to get any taller. But you are 6'3" and thats pretty tall. So if you want to gain weight drink this product called Ensure Plus about 3 times a day. Also work out the large muscle groups (chest, arms, legs, abs) this will increase your appetite and you will eat more. Your Dr is correct though you will eventually just gain weight on your own, but it could take 10 yrs or so. If you dont want to wait...try what I said.

you must have lightning fast metabolism! :) Try protein bars and shakes.. combine them with some weight lifting and it will help you bulk up a bit. Make sure to eat combinations of protein and healthy carbs (whole wheat breads and pastas).

extremely skinny if you ask me. I'm 5'5' 137 and I am like a normal build not skinny or fat. To gain weight work out hard all body parts. Also begin eating just about anything. Eat like 8 times a day. every two hours or something and wake up early to do so. You got to eat more than you usually do, way more to gain.
