is a really good website that has plans on how to start up again. (they have one where you start out with mostly walking and by the end of the "training" you run three miles)
i personally think its easier and more refreshing to run outside, but its up to you.
remember to take it slow and dont be disheartened if its hard at first.
good luck!

try the biggest loser programs they r really hard but the best progams

treadmills work very nicely

ummm runstart.com is what my friend used?

start your own. go to ur local track and start by running half a lap then walking when u fell ready contiune to run a lap then walk a lap then run 2, walk2 it counctinues and it should get ur body ready for running=]
this works thats how i started

Try going to dietwatch.com

They have a running plan on there. I pay $11.95 a month for the membership and it is a really nice tool...along with the fitness programs listed there...

Yes, you DO need to walk before running, and this one gives you all the steps in order on what you need to do, how long, how far, etc.

Best of luck.

GET A TRENDMILL START SLOW THEN FAST ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO DO IT WITH YOU NO WEB SITE WILL HELP

You need to walk before you can run. You will ruin you knees with that weight - possibly ankles and hip joints too. Good luck!!

These videos are good! I get them at the library for free - plus a whole lot more!!

look up JEFF GALLOWAY or you can contact me.

ps: what does " i do not want to practice outside" mean?

Get a membership at a gym with an inside swimming pool and lose 20 to 40 lbs before you start running. Remember you only get one set of ankles, knees and hips, treat them right. An elliptical trainer is also a good way to get your cardio in without hurting yourself. Take Care-Rachel.

You really should check out Curves - the circuit work is amazing for getting your body weight under control. You will need to do this to prepare for running. I wouldn't start running without being in shape. There are too many risks for your heart, joints, etc. TRY CURVES!!!

the holy sh't i'm being a chased by a bear run

Hey check out this site:http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/...

Ive heard allot of good things about it :) Good luck!

u avoid snacks and take veg. items. don't sit idle in ur home. aft finishing ur meal walk for some distance in ur home itself.

Hi, I was 195kg at one stage because of injuries, time in hospital, and unable to exercise, I am down to 127kg and still loosing,

Before you start running try going for a walk first just up and down the street, then go for around the block, and try HYDROTHERAPY, that is fantastic at getting you heart pumping, and when you feel like you are ready to go for a run start very slowly first, then build up from there. even try riding a push bike first, as you do not want a heart attack at the onset.

OK, since you do not wish to run outside, see if there is some kind of early morning run/walk program at your local mall.

When it comes time to run outdoors, my suggestion is to go to the local school and use their track. I would run the straights and walk the curves, so you can build up to a better degree of stamina

The most important part of an exercise program is the next day.

if you do not come back the next day and do it all again, it has failed

Basically, you start off by walking, and maybe doing yoga or Pilates (nice indoor exercise routines) then when you feel ready, you increase the distance, or increase speed. More walking is better for weight loss than a little bit of running. You are getting fit if you are exercising enough to raise your heartbeat. Half an hour of that a few times a week is good. As you get fitter, you'll need to put more effort in to raise your heartbeat. You'll get to the stage where you realise your usual exercise routine is so much easier and less effort than it used to be, then you'll know to increase your load a bit.

eat healthier goods lke foods from weightwatchers..it really helped some of my friends..

Good luck ;)

If you can afford a treadmill, that would be your best bet. If you want to go the extreme route you could always check out this web site. (the name is from a TV show and not an insult)

The programs are hard core but they will have you back to running in no time. Good luck!!!
