The biggest change is skim milk and whole wheat bread. Have fruit around. You don't have to eat their junk. Have your own food. You can lead by example.

Well, choosing what food you think they should eat is the easy part, getting them to want to eat that food is going to be the hard part.

Your family has their mind set on junk food and food that will eventually make them possibly fat, or unhealthy. So instead of giving them so nasty health food, try to goto the store and pick the really good and tasty meals, Like Lean Quisin and Healthy Choice, those 2 are some good brands that always have healthy food.

Another thing you can try, is slowly ease in their lives and try to get the dad to eat around 2000 calories a day, your mom to 1500 calories a day and your brother to around 1200-1500 calories a day, but filled with somewhat healthy stuff.. GOOD LUCK!

Try 1% milk (your family might turn up their noses at skim milk at first.

Whole wheat bread and pasta is much better than white bread and normal pasta.

Buy trail mix with dried fruits for a healthy snack. rail mix with candy/chocolate in it is not a healthy snack even though it seems like it would be.

Cut down on your red meat intake. Eat more fish and chicken (but not fried).

Skip the soda. Go for 100% juice with carbonated water.
