I have a 24hr fitness membership and I hit the gym a lot. Everybody's body is different, but I'll give you my best answer.

I have found that the combination of eating well and getting exercise yields the best results. I would try to stay away from anything fried and fast food. A high metabolism is what will burn the fat- try to lower your fat intake, as well as eat foods high in unsaturated fats (i.e. almonds)

If you are able to and have the time, get on the treadmill and/or elliptical machine. On either machine, setup a workout as such: 2 minutes at a walking pace, and then 1 minute at near full speed or high speed. Alternate like this for at least 20 minutes, half an hour or more if you can.

After that, stretch out and then hit up all the leg machines and do leg exercises. Do lunges, squats, use the machines that target the inner and outer thighs.

Just remember the following: if it hurts, you're probably doing it wrong- exercising shouldn't hurt, but it should be difficult. If it hurts you are working too hard or you are overextending your muscles.

If you don't have access to a gym, just get out there and go for a walk/run or just play some kind of sport (like basketball or tennis) to get your body moving and your heart pumping and eat right!

Happy exercising! Your body will thank you for it! And don't make it a new year's resolution! Why do you have to wait for the New Year's to make a change when you can change yourself right away!

Just my opinion from having lost a lot of weight, but there is no such thing as "spot reduction". When you lose weight, you lose all over your body, not just in one place.

you shouldn't just walk. walking works mainly your calves. riding bikes works your thighs ALOT. trust me i know..every day i ride my bike and then run to work my calves.

A Quick way is to drink lots of water mixed with lemon juice and try drinking some apple cider vinegar. This really works.
The apple cider vinegar is strong but it really works.

What works for me is to drink lots of water, and walk. Today i walked 8 miles with a friend. it helps when someone is with you because you have lots to talk about especially if you haven't seen them in a while. Also try bo-flex machines.

Contrary to the many devices being sold by infomercials for "spot reduction", the human body doesn't work that way. It doesn't use up fat close to the muscles that are exercising.

One loses fat evenly all over, though not exactly. Men and women tend to store more fat in different places. For women it is the butt and thighs among other spots. For men, an example is the belly.

Because as a woman you tend to especially store fat on your thighs, that's the last place they will be reduced. Therefore, you need to continue to diet and exercise in order to get rid of that fat. Also, there are surgical procedures that physically remove the fat, such as liposuction.

any excersise is good, but i strongly suggust weight training...it will burn fat and increase muscle and make you look toned....i suggust squats, lunges with DBs, or any lower body machine that works thighs...dont over do it though..and combine it with cardio workout (running, cycling, swimming ect) to get an all over better look and feel

and/or your legs are as big around as my chest

I believe that weight loss always starts from mindset. This is the reason why i am able to lose 15kg in 2 months and maintain for 3 years straight, all the way till my pregnancy.

1) What is my goal? I want to lose __kg in __ time.
2) Why do I want to achieve this goal? (if possible, come up with 50 reasons)
3) If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)
4) If I achieve it, what happiness will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)
5) What will happen to me if I continue my current situation for the next 10 years?
6) Then when do I want to take action?

Some solutions I can offer you for diet:
Breakfast: eat fruits/drink fruit juice
Lunch: Less carbo, more veg and fruits, less seafood, meat and eggs
Dinner: Same as lunch but no solid food after 8pm. Soups are great dinners

If you want to exercise to enhance the speed of weight loss. Go for some light jogging or do something you enjoy like an aerobic class or kick boxing class...
