People in colder climates often burn more calories than people in warmer climates, but I doubt very much that Canadians eat any more than people of the same economic level elsewhere. Having said that, however, if is possible that you may eat more since moving to Canada, but that may be because you may be stressed out over your move, you may feel lonely or depressed if you haven't made close friends there, you may be bored, and those feelings can make you crave somethng to eat or cause you to "nibble" when you aren't even really hungry.

its for the insulation to keep us warm and we are always hungry

Because it's so cold, no one wants to go outside, so you end up sitting around and eating. That's what my mom told me she experienced when she moved from Washington State (where she was born and I still live) to Toronto.

I can't answer your question without knowing where your from. If you're from the States your question doesn't make any sense. It's true thought we do eat a lot relative to MOST countries, in fact as a Canadian, I'm eating right now. I think its because we can, it being a rich country with a lot of convenient places to get a huge variety of tasty food, and because it's cold, and most Canadians are hard workers, which makes us hungry.

We dont eat alot. When I went to the U.S. people were much bigger than me and my mom, and the amount of food they put on a plate at the restaurants were HUGE for a ten year old! You might feel that way cuz you've just moved and have and have been eating at restaurant night and day breakfast to lunch!

don't know any thing about canada
