Is anyone else tired of the I'm 5'4, 100lbs,etc...AM I FAT?????!

Question: it drives me insane, like are thes 13 year olds fishing for compliments, or do they really have that low self esteem that they need to ask that question. Are they looking for some kind of validation or what????

Well, most of the people who ask this question are indeed about 13 or in their teens and this is because they are insecure and want to hear from other people outside of their friends that they are not fat, or that they should start losing weight. They'll grow out of it. Thank god people here don't say that the poor teenage girls are fat and we DO NOT need any more anemic people in the world.

Wish I knew... I can't wait to see how they feel when they're in their late 20s/early 30s and have popped out a kid or two.

There's a good chance that they're lying and adding four inches to their heights while subtracting half their actual weights.

Nevar trust teh peepl of teh intarnets!

:D

They are constantly bombarded with images of impossibly thin models. They are constantly told through ads and TV and movies that this is what men want and this is how they should look. They have no self esteem because they are given none when they need it the most.

Can be tiring. But only takes a few strokes to make someone feel a little better (hope anyway).
Tolerance is a great virtue.

idk

Due to how the media is these days, a majority of young teenagers due suffer from some form of low self-esteem or eating disorders. Although I don't souly blame the media, I also blame it on bad parenting.
I do know that my 21 year old exgirlfriend was 5'6 and weighed 103lbs and complained thinking she was fat.

I have no idea what runs through their heads. But, I can say one thing. I'm 5' 1" and weigh 126. I'd give just about anything to look like them.

maybe they just ask cuz there bored...or maube they think there fat

yeah skinny Bi**hes..... i hate them

If people honestly think they're fat, then for the love of god, LOSE WEIGHT! If it's so hard to, then LEARN TO APPRECIATE YOUR BODY!

Yes it really does make me crazy! It also makes me realize that I'm fat if they think they are fat at 100 pounds lol.

Sooo annoying. If they want to know, they should ask their parents, not a bunch of strangers. Some of them really do have that low self-esteem to ask that, but most are just fishing for compliments.

nope

im16 5'1
and 130 pounds or more

it pisses me off. i think a lot of them just want ppl to say "omg noooo, your soooo thin." they may honestly think there fat, but i doubt it. i mean, if they care that much, they have already looked at the charts and calculated their bmi and stuff, so they know they are underweight. they want attention and compliments. but it pisses me off. they know they are thin, and being that thin really isnt hott, its disgusting. im thin, but not that thin.

That's just what they do.Don't get mad, they just want to feel good about themselves.Just tell them every night theyre beautiful and say different things so they look like they have extended beauty.O if there young tell them that how many beauty marks tell how beautiful they are.My mom did that for me and I felt pretty secure. If not beauty marks then something else, maybe freckles?? and, tell them to act beautiful, people will think they are.

People just need to stop responding to these kids. The questions will stop once they stop getting the attention they are looking for.

Just like you said, I definitely think they are just fishing for compliments

Yeah they like validation and attention. Give me a nice, chunky mama any day of the week-they are one helluva lot more fun!! 30+ RULES!!

13 years old, in a girl, is about when you start getting self-conscious about having a female body and not a kid body. If you look through the responses to these questions, you see a lot of evidence that a lot of people, even grownups, have no idea what a normal weight is. So it's totally understandable if some 13-year old girl is asking these questions.

By the way, I notice that male respondents are a bit more likely to tell the girl they are too heavy when they are normal or even a bit thin. You wonder why teenage girls get a complex about their weight??

Some people are actually concerned about their weight. They're not just fishing for compliments. They want the truth and they would like to know how they can better their health.

Did you ever realize that they do it to people that are a little bigger than they should be. For instance I am 30 pounds over weight.. And a friend of mine is where she wants to be and she is always saying she is fat.. And there are times where I feel depressed for her...

GET OVER IT!! If you can button your pants with out the FLAB hanging over then your good to go. If you can walk without your legs rubbing together and if you cant see a double chin when your taking that special picture then go complain to someone else who really cares if your fat or not..Most likely they will be ignored

Hey I'm 5ft4 and I WISH I was 100! HAHA! I'll never see THAT number again! I was 101 when I was 19. Now I'm 41 and trying to lose weight, because I'm 190! I know I'll never see 100 again and maybe not even 125 again, but anything under 170 would be nice ya know. 100 at age 41 is not realistic and probably not healthy.
But yes, I've seen SEVERAL of those type posts. I'm starting to wonder if there are actually any ADULTS on here that need to lose weight rather than these teens who seem to think 100 is too heavy. On the other hand, I have a 15yr old who is 80 and really I think she is just fine, she's only 5ft, and it runs in the genes. My mother is only 5ft2 and was 98 at age 21. And like I said, I was 101 at age 19 and the military said I was underweight and totally sabotaged my eating habits, forcing me to eat ice cream at every meal to gain weight. I gained 20LB the first year I was in the Air Force and I've had trouble with my weight ever since, plus I had 5 kids in 20yrs too.

Well I'm 13 and have put out a number of those questions, but it's cuz I really think I'm fat and really need someone who isn't really good friends with me who wouldn't want to hurt my feelings to tell me the truth. But I really think I need to lose weight and this is the only place would putmy real weight. I'm really 5'4'' and 1/2 and really weigh 126 pounds.

Yeah it's kinda annoying but a lot of those girls probably do think they're fat, and they aren't just fishing for compliments, they may actually be struggling.
