Food and calories question?!

You will be hungry if you instantly reduce your diet to 1200 calories. Try decreasing your calories by 100 each week until you get down to 1200. Also, eat more filling foods, such as whole wheat bread, brown rice, low fat/fat free dairy, oatmeal, etc.

If you are on your 1200 calorie diet and you find you are hungry at the end of the day, yes, fruit and veggies are good. Soup is also a good idea, if you just get some chicken broth and some seasonings.

If you follow an exercise program, you will be able to eat more food (as many calories as you burn).

make sure to drink plenty of water. often, the body confuses the sensation of thirst with hunger.
