To really get your abdominals to show, you must diet and include aerobic exercise in your routine. Exercise without maintaining a diet rich in protein to enhance muscle development, is like having a car without an engine; you get absolutely nowhere.
Concentrate on overall fitness and maintaining a healthy heart.
Nothing beats healthy eating.
Eat a combination of lean protein and healthy carbohydrates every few hours throughout the day to speed up fat loss and maintain stable energy levels. For best results, eat six times a day. Weight train intensely, three times per week on alternating days with aerobic exercise three times per week.

Eat your
Protein from (lean chicken, fish, egg-whites and beans)
Carbs from fruits and vegetables
Drink 10 to 20 glasses water per day NO SODA
Start lifting weights do not worry about bulking up concentrate on total body strength with emphasis on core strength.

Scrunches. They are the only real EFFECTIVE EXERCISE to get better abs. Trust me I use to do tons of exercises back in High School, but the scrunches were the only real exercise that helped me get stronger in the abs.

Regardless you could diet and it would save you more time of exercising and doing scrunches. The decision is up to you though.

Get yourself a Teeter Hang-ups and start doing inverted sit-up and crunches. http://www.teeterhangups.com/

In addition to getting the best "abs" of your life, your back will always feel great because you are doing natural back decompression.

The US Army special forces use inverted sit-ups to get their soldiers in peak physical shape!

I'm almost 60 years old and have better "abs" than most 20 year olds! One inverted sit-up is the equivalent of 10 regular sit-ups. I can do 25 without breaking a sweat!

lay on your back and bend your knees in the air , then bring it to your torso!!!
it meant to help

There are some great exercise routines for abs on you tube. Just go there and search "abs". Ignore gimmicks and fads, ab workouts are about putting in the time and doing the work.

Most important thing about abs is to keep your body fat low in order to show your muscles. If you are at 6 % and can't see your abs then really you need to get down with some serious crunches and leg lifts. You should see great results fairly quickly (4 to 6 weeks) considering.

Don't ignore your obliques either. Cheers

sit up is quite a good way
just do it every day for 30 reps
