i think the problem is u dont static contract hard and long enough to get good muscle separation.

that phrase, its not quantity but quality holds true.
Squeeze hard on each rep and forcefully hold it flexed at each rep. 12 reps like that wud do the trick.
Drop me a line on yahoo messenger if it doesnt work.

Good luck

Without knowing anything about what type of exercise and diet regimen you are on this is nearly impossible to answer. ; )

You may be taking in too many useless calories during the day from sugary or starchy foods resulting in a lot of unburnt calories. If this is the case, your other ab muscles may be hidden by a small amount of "baby fat."

On the other hand, it may not be your diet so much as your exercise routine. Standard sit-ups are highly ineffective for ab building (although they are useful for core strength), crunches are much better at building your abdominals. Try crunches in which you touch your right elbow to your left knee and vice-versa to really work on your lower abs for the tapered look of a solid six pack.

Slight weight resistance (2-5 lbs) could also help speed up the process while crunching. Be careful not to over do it with resistance, though, even light weights will make a huge difference while you get used to resistance crunching.

I hope this helps.

You need to lose a little more fat. Don't change anything but add a bit of running on the side and it should show. Most likely it's already there. ^_^
