How can a 13 year old girl lose weight pretty easily?!


Question: I am going to start volleyball for the third year on January 7th. I am 5'3" and weigh like 148 b/c I gained like 5 pounds over the holidays...ugh. But are there anymore exercises or healthy foods that I could eat? I want to lose like 20-30 pounds as soon as possible b/c I am tired of being the fat friend. Please Help!!!!

Whoever said sunbathe was far wrong. It's clearly proving that aside from a nice tan, all you get from a lot of sunbathing are skin melanomas and some lovely cancerous cells later on in life.

If you really want to lose the weight and then keep it off, I recommend that you up your level of physical activity. The fact that you play volleyball is a good sign because that means you're not a vegetable and have some drive to exercise. If the physical activity that you get from playing volleyball isn't enough to help you lose the weight you want, find another sport that you like playing and add it in, or ask your parents if they'll get you a gym membership. If you're the running type, jog for an extra 20 minutes a day.

I was young and the fat friend too :_( so I know how it feels to be in that position, but now I'm 18, almost 19, and I am Still the fat friend. Dieting won't work (and you shouldn't try it anyway; at the age of 13, you probably still have some growing left to do, and your body will change proportions anyway and probably take care of at least some of the excess fat on its own). I did Atkins diet at your age and lost a lot of weight but found out it's impossible to keep it off because you damage your entire capacity to lose weight overall by doing diets like that.

Lifestyle change is the Only thing you should be considering. If you have problems with over-eating, get it under control now. Develop an eating plan and know how many calories you can have a day. Plan not to exceed it.You're short (sorry- me too :P) so you should probably not exceed 1500 calories a day. That should be your absolute maximum. It varies for different people, but most likely it's safe for you to consume 1200 calories a day and exercise. I'm 5'2" and it's perfectly safe for me. It's not fun, but I'm not starving either.

Find the balance now, and make the things you do habits, and you'll lose the weight and keep it off for the rest of your life. Good luck with it. It's no fun to spend your high school years being the fat one.

They can easily do that if they were real skinny before the age 11. Thats when the body finds its type, so it will regulate it to go back to the same way in the future. If your fat before and after age 11, you might have a harder time losing weight in the future.

Face it, there isn't any magical way to lose a lot of weight. In order to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take it. Either than that, you can get lipo.

herre are some meals.......not all of this for one meal
only 1 per meal
BREAKFAST
1.special K
2.muffins with low fat milk
5.hawaiian bread (2 peices for breakfast)
6. eggs

LUNCH
1. half a sandwich
2.low fat yogurt
3.bagel

DINNER
3.drink 3 glasses of ice water before you eat dinner. (helps you digest it and your motabolism faster)
1. chicken
2.ribs
3.soup


dont have like bread and soup and meat or something because thats too much for dinner.

you just need engough to keep you full



FITNESS.

either do
100 sit ups or 100 push ups
(per day)

run 2 miles or jog or walk......DOWN HILL WORKS YOUR STOMACH AND LEGS.

uphill works your back muscles.

the goal is to replace fat with muscle =D

dont lose more than 5lbs a week, i heard it from oprah

and ...try to dance & sunbathe...it will make you sweat, plus youre getting a good tan....
