Is it possible for a 50+ year old stubborn person to stop smoking?!

Question: i know it's possible but what are the chances (%)?

Answers: i know it's possible but what are the chances (%)?

If they want to quit. Up to 100%. Chantix and zyban are both helpful.

If they don't want to quit. 0% Especially if they only want to quit to stop the nagging.

It's a hard addiction to beat.
I've quit multiple times. Once for 4 years. I'm 7 months into it again.

5%

It's impossible to give a percentage. It first depends on whether said person wants to quit.

Depends if they want to quit. Because it's pretty much impossible if you don't want to and once you do there's always that temptation to go back.

It's not possible, they're just TOO stubborn!

I don't have a percentage for you but anyone can stop smoking if they set their mind to it! I recommend them going to their doctor and ask for a prescription of Chantix. I know so many people who have quit using this medicine. Check it out online.

100% if they want to. I never thought my Mom would and I never thought my aunt would. Both quit after the age of 50. If they can do it (they are extremely stubborn people), then anyone can.

well if the person is stubborn enuf then he can be stubborn to stop smoking! :)

I was quite stubborn, 27, and smoking 200 a day.
I stopped.
I am 68 and never smoked after I stopped cold.

Yes! My mother stopped at 59 just before she died of cancer. Don't wait until it is too late.

old and stubborn = 0%
