How fast can you lose weight with this method?!


Question: Walking at least one mile on the treadmill, five days a week.

I think I'm about 178 pounds and maybe 5ft6. I havent' measured exactly.

I have six months. How much weight do you think I can lose by then if I keep that up? Not much? Then what should I do?

why not run instead of walk? it wouldnt kill you....

i'm not sure how much you can lose, but that's a good way to get healthy. i bet if you changed your diet a little to cut out unnecessary fat, cholesterol, and calories, and did the walking thing, you'll get some good results.

i will tell you a better way to lose 2lbs a week... go check out or buy the book called the 3 hour diet by jorge cruiz. its a better way of eating that is healthy and you lose weight safer and faster then anything. I've lost 14lbs already and its only been 7 weeks

It depends on how fast you walk and how long it's better to walk for 60 mins at 3.5 miles per hours and everyday. and you have to regulate your caloric intake or nothing will happen, it's not just an easy thing to do.

Jog at least half of the mile or at least push yourself to do so. Then like every normal exercise plan, eat right and healthy. No junk food at all.

Eat less, excerise and you're there!

It depends on your calorie intake each day. Of course if you are burning more than you are taking in, you will loose weight. BUT, remember you are going to have to do more than the same one mile, 5 days a week routine. Your body will become "used to" that and you will plateau. You need to switch it up some. There are many places to get a workout routine online and even a meal plan.

Also, check into the tabasco sauce, lemon juice, honey drink....it will flush your system and you will shed some pounds quick but must maintain sensible meals.

If you eat right, which is over 70% of the solution, you can lose a pound per week. You can lose more, but if you lose it faster, it's likely you'll regain it. Take it slow. Keep working out. Lower your sugar and carbs while increasing vegetables and water. Break meals down into 5-6 per day. Don't eat more food, just eat more often. You'll do fine.

As long as you eat healthy and keep up on a steady work out routine you should be able to lose a good amount. Just remember to eat a big healthy breakfast and good lunch and a smaller healthy dinner. Try not to eat anything 3 hours before you go to bed. If you dont lose a ton of weight at first dont get discouraged. Stick with it, afterall, atleast you will be a healthier person :)

Well, it really depends on a lot of factors. First off if you are just going to be casually walking, you probably won't loose much weight. But you you were to speed walk and really get your heart rate up it should help you loose a quite few pounds. A good cardio workout is key to loosing weight. There is no way to tell you how much though. There are a lot of key factors we don't know, such as your natural metabolism and what your food intake will be. Good luck!
