Ways to make my walk more FUN?!


Question: I just got back from my 70minute walk. This is the first time I ever did so much walking. I did 3 laps around my neighbourhood which is about 7 miles and according to Sparkteens I just burnt 420 calories which makes me SO proud. Well, this takes up alot of time and after the 2nd time walking around the neighbourhood it gets boring.

I brang my ipod to listen to music but I didnt have enough music to last me that long, so I am going to try and get some more tunes a bit later. I cant walk anyother ways because this is the only way my parents will let me go. I really want to do this again, so any ideas on what can make it more fun??

P.s. I cant bring anyone else with me, Why?

1. I have no active friends
2. I have no active parents
3. I dont have a pet :(

spark teens are great i use them too um well what i do is i look around and talk to myself and think thing through in my head like problems i have so that the walking is also clearing my mind and making me feel better plus losing my wieght

Try downloading a movie/season of your favorite tv show on your iPod and watching it. It definitely will take your mind off how long the walk is =)

you walk and dance at the same time listen to some techno or electronica good for working out motivates me.Or go somewhere where there are lots of stores and stuff.I walk blocks and blocks without realizing because im looking at the stores and pretty stuff

um, try counting your steps, skip, skip sideways, walk backwards (count 25 steps & then rotate), play the alphabet game, walk the opposite way, talk on the phone, babysit & take the kids on their bikes while you walk, start a dog walking business & make money while you walk!
