If I do squats w/o using weights, will that give me bad results?!

Question: Will my butt get smaller?

Answers: Will my butt get smaller?

squats will strengthen your quads and your butt. If you have your feet close together it will target more of the butt and give you a great lift if that's what you're looking for. Also good for the butt is lunges. These exercises will burn fat and add muscle to these areas.

no it will become more toned

you'll get thick thighs.

Be careful for your knees. I recommend stair climbing without weights to tone your butt. At my current job, I have to climb up and down ladders a lot. That has done wonders for weight loss in my thighs and rear... I used to do squats when I was in my early 30's (during the time I was also taking karate). Whew! The karate and the squats destroyed my knees.

What do you mean by "bad" results? And, no, your butt won't get smaller per se. If your goal is to have a smaller caboose, you need to
do full-body workouts. You can't spot tone a certain area on your body (it's a myth). As far as squats go, however, I would suggest you do them with weights. Lifting heavy will not make you buff-this is another myth that women often fall for (getting buff, if you are a woman, involves 5-6000k calories a day and drugs); it will help to create more muscle mass, which will give you a shapely rear (assuming you combine this with a good diet and other exercises). Cheers.

ACTUALLY, if you spread your feet at at 45 degree angle while squatting THIS WILL target your glutes (butt) with or without weights
